Our Club’s History

Holcombe Hockey Club was formed in 1999/2000 from the merger of established hockey clubs in the Medway area, and has since grown into one of the largest clubs in the UK. The club’s home is Holcombe Park, beside Rochester Airport in Kent, where members play across two astroturf pitches (one water-based and one sand-based) alongside the clubhouse at the heart of the club. Today Holcombe fields ten men’s/Open sides and six women’s sides together with a thriving junior section of more than 200 players. On the national stage the women’s 1st XI finished as England Hockey League runners-up three seasons running (2017, 2018 and 2019), winning the EuroHockey Club Trophy in 2018, while in 2023 the men’s 1st XI recorded the club, finishing as league runners-up and play-off finalists, and qualifying for the 2023/24 Euro Hockey League.
