Seniors
Welcome to senior hockey at Holcombe. From our home at Holcombe Park in Rochester, Kent, we field 10 men’s and five women’s senior teams alongside Mixed and Masters hockey — an established and inclusive club with a vision to provide a home of hockey for all, and a place for everyone from first-time senior players to full internationals.
At the top of the club, both our men’s and women’s 1st XIs compete in the England Hockey National League, playing at Premier Division level. That performance environment is led by Director of Hockey and Head Coach Kwan Browne — a former Trinidad & Tobago international and current GB assistant coach — supported by senior coaches including New Zealand international Brad Read and former Trinidad & Tobago forward Dillet Gilkes.
Our senior squads have featured a host of international talent, including GB and England players Ollie Payne and Sam Taylor, Scotland international Robert Field, New Zealand internationals Brad Read, Tim Neild and Matt Symonds, former Pakistan captain Ali Shan, rising England squad member Alex Pendle, and, in the women’s first team, England junior international Tilly Woodhead.
Beneath the first teams, our lower XIs and themed sides (Hawks, Harriers, Hurricanes, Heroes and Hornets) offer competitive league hockey for every standard, while Mixed and Masters hockey provide a friendly, social route to keep playing the game you love. New players are always welcome — whatever your level, there is a team for you.

Training
Senior squad training runs through the season at Holcombe Park, with sessions led by our senior coaching team. First-team and performance training is scheduled separately from the wider senior squads — if you are new to the club, the quickest way to find the right night and group for your standard is to get in touch via How to Join or email general@holcombe.hockey, and we’ll point you to the right team.
Match fixtures and results for every senior side are published on our Fixtures & Results page.
